Word Ladders and Unifix Cubes Literacy Center

Here is a great way to teach adding and deleting sounds. The kids have 12 word ladder cards that focus on beginning and ending sounds and mixed practice. I included more challenging ones for higher students or you can use them as the student progresses. They must read the clues to figure them out. There is a recording sheet for them to record their answers. The students use unifix cubes with this center to help form words. Simply write the letters on the cubes and put them in a baggie. Click here to download.
