Just as mom was taking the turkey out of the oven...

We worked on some turkey writing this week. The students really enjoyed this activity First we made the turkey's using our handprints. I cut out a circle for them and they used the scraps to make the other turkey parts. We glued on some legs and a beak and a head!

I gave each student 3 sheets of paper to cut out their hand.

Next we started on our writing. The writing prompt was- Just as mom was taking the turkey out of the oven....! The stories were so good and the students put a lot of imagination in them. We shared these stories with the class and the students thought they were so funny!
