In class we are working on commas in a series this week and rounding. We have done so much including some sorting activities which were a big hit! I love these because I can just pull them out for partner centers or small group skills reinforcement.
They never get old! Another activity we did this week was a simple but good one. After our mini-lesson on commas, we discussed some of our favorite things and practiced by writing them on sentence strips and using macaroni as the commas. The kids loved it! Can you tell I use a lot of food products in my room? lol I do this one every year and it never gets old!
We are also working on rounding and I am using these awesome flip books next week. This one says doubles but I have several subjects in my store. I love these because they include vocabulary, writing, skills, and problem solving all in one little book that the kids put together! Then after using them in work stations or small groups the students can refer to them as a study guide because it contains all of the useful information for that subject! You can get a freebie here.
Now for your St. Patty's day freebie! This awesome activity is on rounding. Just laminate and cut out the number cards and you are ready to go! I hope you find it useful! Thanks so much for being such great supporters of my products!
