Freebie! The land of Gallon!

I wanted to give you guys this great freebie that I made and love! I use it every year and my kids really get and understand capacity when they learn it this way. I am sure you have heard of the Land of Gallon! If you haven't, it is awesome and gives the kids a great visual of how gallon, cups, and quarts relate. I found it on the internet years ago and have used it ever since! ( I do not know the original author but if you do please let me know so I can add it! )

I included the poem, activity, and a recording sheet! If you are limited on copies, you can always have the kids draw in the letters instead of cutting them out and gluing them. I have found in the past it is difficult for them to get the proportions right sometimes and wanted to provide both options. I hope that you find it useful! Enjoy! Click here to download!

  11. I use that too! I use crowns instead of children. Each prince and princess has a morning crown and night crown to be exact!
