A TON of Classroom Pictures!

I finally finished my classroom over a week ago but hadn't had time to post pictures. The first week of school has been hectic but fun! We have gotten so much accomplished in just 5 short days! So let's get to the tour! I got a lot of great ideas from Pinterest!! I went with a green frog theme. It really turned out cute. My kids LOVED it when they first walked in during open house. The look on their faces was priceless!
Here is my math word wall and my math tubs. This word wall covers all basic math concepts with pictures and my kids use it all of the time to help them. I made a second set and I put them in their math work stations also. You can read more about BUILD here. It has a touch of Daily 5 to it that works well in my classroom and it is easy for my students to understand. You can get my BUILD labels here.

Here is where I store my language arts centers and I use those green things as tables for centers. We spend a lot of time on the floor so they come in handy for the students to write on.

Here is a shot of my low table that I use for centers, my kidney table with my cute table skirt and part of the desks. I love the table skirt because I can store supplies underneath. I just attached it with velcro. I also attached my curtains on my window with velcro.

Here is my name! I made these out of wooden letters and painted them. For some reason my kids have a hard time spelling it.
I added magnets and stuck them to my board!

I bought sterilite containers to anchor my desks. These are wonderful because they have drawers to store things I don't want in their desks. This helps to keep the desks not so junky. I put my desks in two large groups to create more floor space. We don't sit in our desks very much. I try to keep them moving around as much as possible.

This is my "who is out" board for students to write their name when they leave the room. Specifically for pull outs so I always know where my kids are.
Also, here are my frogs that hang on my door to tell people where we are in the building.

Punctuation Posters!

This is the work on writing board and boggle board. I use both of these as 'fast finisher" activities. I downloaded both of these from other blogs. Please leave your links below if they are yours so I can insert them to give you credit!

My essential questions board that I just write on with dry erase marker. I used a cheap poster frame from Michaels. .

My class library! I LOVE IKEA! I think I may have gone too far with all the green this year!

My centers board for math and reading. I have five math work stations that they work on daily. For LA they complete 2 centers daily. We switch centers one time in the middle of guided reading. I have tried many different ways and this has worked best for me. I ring the bell once and they clean up, I ring it twice and they rotate. Get the labels FREE here.
This is where they choose breakfast.

This is where they turn in certain things to me daily. The top one contains their D.O.T. Folders (daily organization tool) I haven't made a sign for them yet. They go home daily with their behavior in it.

My birthday blooms!! I added glitter this year! I have been doing this for years and the kids love them! I attach them to birthday pencils.
The flowers came from Target.

My junky desk!

This is where I keep things for the week. I got the drawer thingy from Walmart for 23.99. I LOVE it! It really helps to keep me organized.I store handwriting books, exemplar books etc. in those green bins.

This is where my spelling words go. I just bought a cheap frame and I will use a dry erase marker to write on the words.

My listening center! The table is from Ikea 7.99!

My kidney table and rugs.

This is where I display their writing. Those frogs are on clothespins.

My calendar area and where I store extra supplies they can use in those bins. I am so in love with my calendar! I keep the supplies accessible to the kids because we do it community style. It really helps the first week when they are bringing in supplies. I just set them on the floor and drop them in.

There are sight words on the cabinets they can use for reference during writing and my colorful behavior chart. It was cuter than my old one! Lol Another free download. Leave your link if it is yours. I can't keep up with all of my downloads! lol

My Job display-FREE download.

Okay that is all for now, I hope you like it or were able to get some ideas! I will update this post with links once I find them so be sure to check back. I am off to football practice with my son. Have a great evening!

  7. Love your room. Where did you find your green baskets? I love them and they are big enough to hold the books. I'm using those colors this year and having a hard time finding them the size I need. Any ideas?

  16. One of my former teammates does a Frog theme and it's always so cute. I love that IKEA desk for $7.99! There isn't one near me, but I might have to see about buying it online! I need something new for my listening center - I've been using a mini-bookshelf that I need to use for centers/stations.
