BLOGHER 2012!

I am finally back from New York after attending Blogher 2012! We had a ball! If you don't know, Blogher is a national blogging conference held every year. Bloggers from everywhere attend to learn new information in workshops, learn about products, and meet other bloggers. There are bloggers from HUGE companies and even small mommy bloggers. Everyone there blogs! How cool is that?

I met up with some of my awesome blog buddies for lunch! Here is Mel D from Seusstastic Classroom Inspirations, Mor from Teachers Treasure, Dana from 3rd Grade Gridiron, Charity from the OC blog, Tamara from Teaching Blog Addict, Angela from the Cornerstone for Teachers, and Crystal from kreative in Kinder. We had so much fun and all of these ladies are incredibly sweet!!!

The expo halls were filled with tons of companies with new and interesting products. I learned so much about how to incorporate some of these in my classroom.

They have tons of sponsors and provided several workshops for the attendees. They offered workshops on marketing, SEO techniques, how to make an app and many many more! There are tons of classes and great parties sponsored by these huge companies. McDonalds had a party and had a cheeseburger buffet! OMG!

We saw the Jimmy Dean sun!!! Dana from 3rd grade gridiron took a picture with our yellow friend! LOL

Of course we had to take a picture with the Lorax!

We did not get in the Chuck E Cheese ticket booth, but it seemed like TONS of fun! People were literally stuffing tickets everywhere!

One of my favorite booths was the duct tape booth!!!!  Can you believe all of these things were made out of duct tape? They also now offer sheets of duct tape that you can buy in the store by the sheet. You can make cool things like this fish tank design! It is almost like contact paper!

There were hundreds of sponsors there and they all were giving away free stuff! How awesome!
We also saw some new companies like SIFTEO. They offer these digital cubes that attach to your computer. You can download games on them and move them around to practice sight words or puzzle skills or anything! LOVED this game! It was very interactive and easy to use!

My favorite part of the trip were all of the awesome speakers! Martha Stewart, Katie Couric and Soledad O'Brian were a few featured speakers. Katie Couric was AMAZING! I loved her and she had on the hottest shoes ever! She spoke alot about business and blogging and was very down to earth. She is such a great speaker.

This is is just a small snapshot of our amazing trip! It was so fun meeting all of the other bloggers and learning so much new information! I will definitely be attending next year in Chicago! Maybe I will see you there!

Now back to reality, tomorrow is my first day of school! I will be sure to let you know how it goes, wish me luck! Here is a small peek at my room. I will post more pics this week!
